Our construction management services begin with a rigorous analysis of the proposed project: when the design and construction parameters are clearly defined, our key subcontractors are identified from a pool of highly qualified regional and local subcontractors, and our team moves quickly to produce construction planning documentation. We then coordinate schedules, mobilize personnel and equipment, and we get the job done, frequently exceeding client expectations.
SES is proud to be a repeat provider of services to the Department of Defense's Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (SRM) program. We provide inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, facility improvements, and upgrades while also supporting and implementing energy conservation and 'green' initiatives.
Featured Projects
- SUPER GUPPY HANGAR: A fast-track design-build project to replace a hangar used to service some of NASA's largest and most exciting aircraft - this open-sided hangar also services the WB-57 and the T-38. The hangar allows the Super Guppy's wing tips and vertical tail to clear, and provides clearance to use a man-lift to wash the entire fuelage. SES was awarded the JSC 2011 Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year Award for this and other restoration/repair work at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.
- ICEARIUM: SES designed and built the largest ice sports facility in East Tennessee - a 47,000 sq. ft. complex that houses an NHL-sized ice sheet. The $5.6 million facility was constructed in 8 months and at 4% below budget.
- PILOT TRAINING CENTER: A 2-phase design-build project at Columbus AFB, Mississippi, to renovate almost 18,000 sq. ft. of classroom space that included a flight simulator bay and a new steel mezzanine - all work completed with minimal disruption to the occupied facilities.
- INDOOR FIRING RANGE: A $3 million single story, clear span training facility for security personnel that was the largest indoor firing range within the Department of Energy. This 18,560 sq. ft. range incorporates state of the art range controls and target runners that allows for programming of light levels, target locations and "running man" scenarios.
